Welcome to the Room Parent Corner
Thank you for volunteering your time as a Room Parent! You provide an invaluable service to our school. In addition to coordinating class parties and events, a Room Parent is the main source of communication between the school and the parents in your class. You will be invited to attend a Room Parent Training on September 5th from 6pm - 7pm in the Science Room, where you will receive an overview of the roles of a Room Parent. If you are unable to attend this meeting please carefully review the Room Parent Training linked below and email: info@ccpta.org with any questions.
Room Parent Duties:
- Organize class parties, usually around a specific topic or theme.
- Organize teacher gifts at holidays, birthdays and teacher appreciation.
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers for classroom support, school events, and field trips
- Send out reminders/ sign up sheets about events, activities, field trips, etc.
- Keep an up-to-date list of contact information for all parents
Each teacher has their own approach and will require different levels of support.
